R.G.H.Q. 9.2

In the early 1980's the Home Office spent a reputed two million pounds on refurbishing and upgrading around 25 to 30% of the original area to provide accommodation for a new Regional Government Headquarters this incorporatted many areas of the 1960's R.S.G.

Here is just a small selection of photo's of the RGHQ area most of which were taken before the Home Office handed the site over to it's new owner.

The entrance to the RGHQ via three heavy steel blast doors.

These secure doors lead to the heart of the RGHQ. The door to the left leads to the comm centre and the one to the right leads to the BBC suite.

If you pass through the right hand door you arrive in the BBC's office/control room.

Continuing through the BBC office leads you into the radio studio itself.
